Meet the Corporate Clients Team

Joe Truelove

Joe is the Head of Business Development in the Guernsey Corporate Clients department of Kleinwort Benson, a leading fund administrator and custodian in the Channel Islands. Joe has been with Kleinwort Benson for 8 years.

Joe was educated at Elizabeth College in Guernsey before going to University in Aberdeen. He graduated with a degree in French and Spanish in 1995. On his return to Guernsey Joe joined PricewaterhouseCoopers where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999.

In addition to being a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, he is also a member of the Guernsey Society of Chartered and Certified Accountants, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a member of The Securities and Investments Institute.  He is also the secretary of the Guernsey Investment Fund Association Marketing sub-committee.

A regular traveller to London, New York and Switzerland Joe lives in Guernsey with his wife Sandra, three sons and a daughter.

Nigel Strachan

Nigel is the head of business development for the corporate services department of Kleinwort Benson, a leading fund administrator and custodian in the Channel Islands.  Nigel has been with Kleinwort Benson for 7 years.

Nigel was educated at Diocesan College in Cape Town before going to University in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

He graduated with a degree in Accounting and Finance before moving to London to train as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (’PwC’).  Nigel moved to Jersey to join PwC’s offshore tax group before moving to Kleinwort Benson to join the private equity funds team.  Nigel is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, a member of the Securities Institute and on the committee of the Jersey Funds Association.

Nigel is a regular traveller to London, Europe, the Middle East and the US and lives in Jersey with his wife Louise and their daughter Hannah Rose.

Simon Gordon

Simon is the Head of Business Development (UK) in the Corporate Clients department of Kleinwort Benson, a leading fund administrator and custodian in the Channel Islands. Simon has been with Kleinwort Benson for 7 years.

Simon was educated at Elizabeth College in Guernsey before going to Lancaster University, where he graduated in 1992 with an Honours degree in English & French Literature before beginning his career in sales and client relationship management.

Simon worked for GE Capital in the UK where he became a Sales Manager. In 2001 he relocated to Guernsey and joined Kleinwort Benson as a member of the Business Development division. He is an Associate of the Securities and Investments Institute (ASI), and qualified as an Investment Adviser in 2003.

In September 2005 Simon set up the Manchester office to represent and promote Kleinwort Benson’s offshore services in the UK regions outside London.

Simon is 39 years old and lives with his partner, Moya in Manchester. Simon is a keen fan of Liverpool Football Club. He also enjoys motorcycling, singing and running.
